They appear small in the vastness of the painting, yet they quietly hold its meaning.
Swallows have long been symbols of freedom, loyalty and the instinct to find one’s way home. They travel across continents, crossing borders and oceans, yet return again and again to the same place.
In times when the world can feel heavy with conflict and uncertainty, these two birds became something else while I was painting. A reminder of hope. Of resilience. Of the simple but powerful idea that freedom is always worth protecting.
Hidden within layers of textured paint, soft blues, whites and touches of gold, they move across the canvas like a quiet promise that even in turbulent skies, there is still space to fly.
Sometimes the smallest figures carry the deepest stories.
